'RINL organises bicycle rally as a prelude to the World environment day celebrations'- Children are brand ambassadors of campaign towards Environment conservation- Sri AK Bagchi, Director (Projects) and additional charge Director (Operations), RINL, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant As part of commemorating the World Environment Day (5th June, 2024), Environment management department of RINL, the corporate entity of visakhapatnam steel plant organised a bicycle rally in association with the Sports department of RINL at Trishna Grounds of RINL, today. The chief guest of the program, Sri AK Bagchi, Director (Projects) and additional charge Director (Operations), RINL flagged off the bicycle at Trishna grounds. He administered the LIFE (Lifestyle for Environment) Pledge to all the participants that 'everyone will make all possible changes in their daily life to protect the environment, and commit to continuously motivate their family, friends and others about the importance of environmentally friendly habit' evincing the love for the Nature & Environment More than a hundred children actively participated in the bicycle rally along with placards displaying captions like " Land Restoration " & " Save Mother Earth" in the rally of around 4 kms in the ukkunagaram township of Visakhapatnam steel plant Speaking on the occasion, Sri AK Bagchi appreciated the young children for actively participating in the bicycle rally. Children are the brand ambassadors of RINL's campaign towards Environment conservation- Sri AK Bagchi said. He complimented the Environment management department (EnMD) of RINL for conducting various programs as part of the World Environment Day (5th JUNE). The cycle rally was conducted with a message to save natural resources, Environment and everyone's own Health. Sri Pravin Kumar, Chief general manager (services) RINL, Children, youth, senior officials of Environment management department and other employees of RINL actively participated in the cycle rally. Appreciation certificates were presented to all the participants at the end of the bicycle rally by Sri G. Phani Kumar, GM (Environment management department)-In-charge & head of the department
