Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has been honoured with the Energy Efficient Unit Award at the 26th National Competition for Excellence in Energy Management, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – Godrej Green Business Centre at Hyderabad. The recognition comes for RINL’s significant improvements in energy parameters, particularly in reducing heat consumption at Coke Ovens and Blast Furnace Stoves, as well as for the effective implementation of the Energy Management System, Decarbonisation Plan, and harnessing of waste energy. In addition, RINL has also received the Innovative Award for its successful hammer modification in the Coal Crusher. The awards were presented by Shri Purushottaman, Chairman, CII Energy Council, and were received on behalf of RINL by Shri K. Sudhakar, GM (Energy & Environment) I/c, along with Mrs. Praveena, Sr. Manager (E&EnMD) at the ceremony in Hyderabad today.
