Vigilance Department & Sports Department of RINL organizes Walkathon and Unity Run as Part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 and in commemorating the birth anniversary of Sri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 and in commemorating the birth anniversary of Sri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Vigilance Department and Sports Departments of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, organized a Walkathon and Unity Run at Col. C.K. Nayudu Ukku Stadium, Ukkunagaram, today. The event, held in line with the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) guidelines, witnessed enthusiastic participation of school students from various educational institutions of Ukkunagaram, along with their parents, who took part in the three-kilometre walk/Freedom run through the township.Sri Arun Kanti Bagchi, Director (Projects) & Addl. Charge Director (Personnel), RINL, flagged off the event. Addressing the gathering, Sri Bagchi Director (Projects) & Addl. Charge Director (Personnel), RINL highlighted the importance of vigilance as a guiding principle in everyday life. He urged students to be alert and responsible in their academics, social conduct, and concern for the environment, reinforcing vigilance as a holistic life value. Senior officials and employees of RINL also participated actively, joining hands to promote awareness on integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct. The Walkathon and Unity run served as an inspiring platform to instill the values of honesty and alertness among youth and the community, aligning with this year’s theme — “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”
