RINL-VSP’s CISF unit celebrated “Van-Mahotsav” as part of CISF Golden Jubilee celebrations on 7th July,2018 in a befitting manner.

World Environment Day was celebrated  in  a big way at Vizag Steel. The month long events organised by Environment Management Department of Vizag Steel, culminated with a grand function held at TTI auditorium of the Steel Plant on 5th June,2018.

Sri A Sudhakar, Member Secretary, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)  called for  maintaining a good environment systems by industries that would help increase the life span and living standards of the people. He also advised to use of  technology in measuring  air quality in controlling pollution.

Sri NV Bhaskar Rao, Joint Chief Environmental Engineer , Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board was all praise for RINL for extensive green cover in and around the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and lauded the pollution control measures and environment protection initiatives being implemented by the management and sustaining it for many years. He was the guest of the honour at the “World Environment Day” celebrations organized by VSP today in Ukkunagaram. The theme for this year is “Connecting people to Nature”.

Sri Anil Swarup, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, GOI  during his visit to Visakhapatnam today visited Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and held discussions with Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL.

RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant today joined the nation in celebrating the “World Environment Day” on a grand scale.

Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL led a team of Directors, union leaders etc in launching the revival of greenery at Vizag Steel today. Sri P Madhusudan planted saplings to replace the uprooted trees due to the Hudhud cyclone in VSP main approach road as part of revival plan of greenery in and around the plant and township premises.
